The End?
It's pretty obvious that I'm not blogging here. I don't plan on doing much more than posting pictures here for a while (at some point). I will, however, continue to twitter, and linkblog.
I have delisted this page from search engines, but it's still open for all to read.
This probably isn't going to be final story of this blog. It's just going to be a very extended hiatus.

Artwork by 20-month old girl
My daughter made this at school. I don't know why they thought this was a good idea. Maybe the preschool was studying Hans Bellmer? Maybe this was a humane way of dissecting a baby? I haven't slept very well since we brought this one home. The worst part is that Leyla carries it around like all her baby dolls.

Ralph Alpher, 86, Expert in Work on the Big Bang, Dies
From NYT
Ralph Alpher, a physicist whose early calculations and theoretical predictions supported the Big Bang concept for the origin of the universe, though his role was largely overlooked as later discoveries proved him right, died last Sunday in Austin, Tex. He was 86.
